Unless you live under a rock, you've probably heard a song recorded under one of WRM's many record labels within the last 24 hours. Owned by Warner Music Group, the Recorded Music family includes many of the world’s most visionary artists and labels. From Madonna and Van Halen to Mac Miller and Dua Lipa, countless mainstream icons have recorded for these record labels since 1958.
However, even household names change owners, and in 2019, the historic group was facing a hard deadline to re-brand due to expiring trademark agreements with its founder, Warner Bros.
Naturally, shedding the WB logo, a staple of American entertainment, doesn't happen overnight. Instead, it occurred over ten months, during which I had the opportunity to lead a team of multi-disciplinary designers tasked with developing a cohesive brand identity system that could reintroduce the labels to an audience that represented an entirely new generation of listeners.
So, was it a universal success? Well, obviously - music fans across generations loved the new brand identity, and in a few weeks, everyone totally forgot about that WB shield logo... said no one ever.
Tl:dr: People don't like change, but at times, even synonymous brands are forced to evolve, and I was honored to help Warner face that challenge head-on.

Hi, I'm Tim. For over a decade, I've developed commercial creative content across all traditional and emerging media platforms, from pitch to post-production.
I thrive in chaos, embrace ambiguity, and lead by example. This attitude has proven capable of translating highly conceptual ideas and complex solutions into award-winning creative executions within the fields of advertising and fashion.
Short version: I'm a creative person 24/7 and love every minute.Timesheets are the only things that separate what I do for fun from what I do for a living.
